So you want to lose weight. That’s good, but are you serious? Are you genuinely motivated to lose weight?
If you’re embarking on a ‘weight loss regime’ with an idea that you might ‘lose some weight’ and perhaps ‘doing some exercise’ to keep off the pounds, perhaps you should just forget it. You must have time to waste!
If you are serious about weight loss, you need to have a proper weight loss goal backed up with genuine motivation. If you don’t have this, you will surely fail.
I liken it to the law of cause and effect. Without a cause, there is no effect, and of course the cause has to come first. Straight to the point, it is an easy natural law to recall, and, it appears, one easily forgotten.
Could you make a cup of tea without first boiling water? Or could you grow a crop without first preparing the soil? Can you withdraw money from a bank account without first making a deposit? No! Of course not!
But how often do you come across people who think they have an automatic right to success without having to put any effort in to make that success? Applying the law of cause and effect, the more you put in to start, the greater your likelihood of success. This will be the case with weight loss as with anything else.
Experience shows that we have to add wood to a fireplace to make a fire; we have to make a deposit before we can make a withdrawal; we have to prpeare the soil, plant seeds, water and looh after them before we can harvest the crop. Sadly, when it comes to achieving things for ourselves we tend to forget what comes first.
How many people have said to you “I just can’t lose weight whatever I do.” I wonder if they really mean “I didn’t bother preparing and I’m not prepared to make sufficient effort to succeed.”
If you want to achieve something in your life – and a good example would be losing weight – you’ve got to start with the cause to create that effect. If you have failed to accomplish the result, or effect, that you hoped for, it is probable that you did not set the appropriate cause into action to begin with
Setting out with the right cause will usually achieve the desired effect.
You have to choose if you want to be a cause or an effect. By choosing to be a cause you will make things happen. If you choose to be an effect, you will be the result of whatever happens to you.
For success in weight loss, you have to become the cause and apply your passion. Become your own weight loss cause. The you will truly be motivated to lose weight.
